PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

 I’VE FALLEN, AND I CAN’T GET UP

I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up,
Broken-hearted and out of luck;
Misty-eyed, and I realize
That I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up.

You’re gone, and I’ve got it bad.
Sleepless nights and feeling, oh, so sad.
Can’t get over the love we had.
I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up.

Can’t get up to comb my hair.
Can’t get up.  Ain’t goin’ nowhere.
Can’t get up, honey; can you tell me why?
I’ve fallen, and I can’t get up.

Our home was built on rocky shore.
The waves of love fell through the floor.
The basement flooded out from tears,
And broke our ties throughout the years.

The ceiling’s cracked, the windows’ pained,
And everywhere I went it rained.
Can’t stop the clock.  Can’t stop the train.
Can’t stop the hurt inside my brain.
